I post them primarily here so people during the sermon at Nowra City Church can follow along but my hope is also that people who read them off the internet will be inspired and will learn something about Daniel. Just because it may seem like God has lost control, don’t be deceived, He is Sovereign. The following are my raw sermon notes for a sermon on Daniel.

Through this great book we’ll see rulers from two world kingdoms humbled before the God of Israel, and we’ll realize the promise that God has His own kingdom coming with His own King set to reign. GOD IS SOVEREIGN, is the message revealed time and time again. Note that the links open to several formats - audio and transcripts. And yet, through the book of Daniel we learn that nothing could be further from the truth. If ever there was a time when it appeared that God had lost, this must have been it.

In a short time the city would be destroyed and the temple of God would be burned. Nebuchadnezzar had surrounded Jerusalem and starting taking men and women captive. God’s anger prompted a 70 year exile into the land of Babylon.
